| Active household | Local storage | Opens the household you used last | Until you switch or clear site data |
| Light or dark theme | Local storage | Remembers your choice | Until changed |
| Hidden calendars | Local storage | Remembers which calendars you hid on this device | Until changed |
| Weather forecast | Local storage | Avoids fetching the forecast more than every 30 minutes | Replaced every 30 minutes |
| Return page after sign-in | Session storage | Brings you back to the page you were opening, such as a display's pairing link | Until the tab closes |
| Display disconnected notice | Session storage | Explains why a removed display is back on its setup screen | Until the tab closes |
Third parties
- Google sign-in opens Google's own sign-in page, which sets Google's cookies under Google's policies.
- Open-Meteo receives weather requests from your browser; Nestday doesn't set cookies for it.
- Error reporting, if the operator enables it, sends technical error details. [CONFIRM WHETHER ENABLED.]
